What is self-adhesive vinyl (SAV) and how is it different from window graphics?
SAV is a printed, self-adhesive vinyl film that can be applied to almost any surface — walls, ACM panels, lightboxes, vehicles, and more. Window graphics is really just SAV (or a specialised film like one-way vision) applied to glass — if your project is specifically about a shopfront or vehicle window, our

What is 5-year SAV and when should I use it?
5-year SAV is a premium-grade film rated for up to 5 years of outdoor exposure without significant fading or cracking. It's the right choice for exterior signage, vehicle panels and any application that needs to hold its colour and finish through Perth's sun and heat over the long term.
What is high-tack SAV and when do I need it?
High-tack SAV uses a much more aggressive adhesive than standard vinyl, so it holds firm on textured, rough or low-energy surfaces where regular SAV would lift or fail — think exposed brick, powder-coated metal, rendered walls or textured cladding. If your surface isn't smooth and flat, ask us about high-tack before you order.
Can SAV be used for backlit/illuminated signage?
Yes — we print a dedicated backlit SAV that's translucent and colour-balanced so your artwork looks correct both lit and unlit, with even light transmission across the panel. It's commonly used for lightbox faces and illuminated shopfront signage.
What is Class 1 reflective SAV?
Class 1 (engineering grade) reflective SAV is a retroreflective film that bounces light back toward its source, making printed signage visible at night under headlights or torchlight. It's the standard reflective grade used for general signage and temporary traffic control.
What is Diamond grade reflective SAV, and how is it different from Class 1?
Diamond grade is the highest-performance reflective film available, offering significantly greater brightness and a wider viewing angle than Class 1. It's used where visibility is critical — high-speed roads, worksites and safety-critical signage — while Class 1 suits general reflective signage at a lower cost.
